Housekeeper/Laundry Aide

About the role

The Meadows on University is seeking a Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to maintain a clean and sanitized environment for residents, patients, and staff. This role supports infection control and universal precautions while ensuring high standards of cleanliness across all facility areas.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, hallways, offices, family room, nurse’s stations, patios, main lobby, treatment rooms, laundry room, storage, employee break areas, physical therapy room, activity room, library, stairs, elevators, and entrances according to sanitation procedures, safety precautions, infection control, and universal precautions.
• Perform terminal cleaning procedures.
• Report hazardous conditions, equipment issues, and accidents to supervisor immediately.
• Maintain care and proper use of supplies and equipment; ensure areas remain clean and orderly.
• Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms for sanitation, order, safety, and assigned duties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Complete company-mandated orientation.
• Pass mandatory drug test upon hire.
• Pass criminal background check.
• Familiarize with and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to the role.
• Provide satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment within three days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Housekeeper or similar role.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is a plus.
