Housekeeper II - Relief - 40 hours - Jackson, MI

About the role

The Housekeeper II is responsible for maintaining a clean, attractive, and sanitary healthcare environment for both external and internal customers of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of patient rooms, common areas, and workstations.
• Clean and organize patient rooms, including beds, furniture, and fixtures.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and replenished as needed.
• Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new equipment.

Requirements

• One to two (1-2) years of experience in housekeeping.
• A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Good communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.

Skills

• Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
• Basic computer skills for scheduling and record-keeping.
