Salary Range Starting At: $14.00/ per hour Job Description As the Facility Housekeeper you will ensure a clean and safe environment of the facility while ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out. What You Will Do Oversee general cleaning throughout the facilityClean and stock public area restrooms in facilityOperate commercial laundry equipment as necessaryClean office areas and empty trash as neededProvide oversight and feedback to leadership as needed for non-employee’s performance (volunteers, etc.)Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, coordinate community service workers, keep track of participants’ time worked, and prepare reports as neededUtilize cleaning equipment for floors and/or carpet (i.e., buffer, vacuum, broom, mop, etc.)Maintain organized storage and work areasWork overtime with authorized approval to ensure coverage of facility operationsMaintain attendance in accordance with facility guidelinesAssist Maintenance SupervisorCross train to additional task as directedCommunicate appropriately to leadershipAttend monthly in-service meetings and staff meetings as neededContribute to a positive work environmentDemonstrate teamworkAssist other departments as needed or directedMaintain a professional demeanor at all timesOther tasks as assigned by leadership Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed, and all background check results will be reviewed. Experience: Two years direct care experience Certifications: Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver’s qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 30 days of employment. Skills/Abilities Able to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele.Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.Must demonstrate knowledge and competence in using equipment for HousekeepingIf in recovery, must demonstrate at least one years of sobriety with evidence of emotional and social stability.
