Housekeeper - Full Time - South Campus - 2nd Shift

About the role

The Housekeeper at Dayton Children's - South Campus Department Environmental Services Springboro is responsible for performing terminal cleaning of patient rooms after discharge, as well as cleaning various areas including nursing units, surgical areas, offices, labs, waiting areas, and public restrooms.

Responsibilities

• Making beds
• Emptying trash
• Wiping equipment
• Cleaning furniture
• Polishing floors
• Vacuuming carpets
• Cleaning restrooms
• Laundering hospital linen
• Daily inspection and inventory of housekeeping equipment
• Assorted duties as assigned

Requirements

Training on cleaning chemicals and demonstration of competency in their proper usage, disposal, and safety measures is required to ensure a clean and safe hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment
