Housekeeper - Full-Time Days

The Lutheran Home is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to help create a clean and welcoming home for our residents in our care community. In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting the daily living environment of those we serve – ensuring their spaces are cared for, and truly like home. Whether you’re starting your career or bringing prior experience, your attention to detail and commitment to quality will make a meaningful difference each day. Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in the resident’s room
• Clean bathrooms daily and restocking toiletries
• Empty trash cans and dispose of the waste in designated areas
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum as needed
• Clean common areas of the facility including hallways, living rooms and dining rooms
• Clean the shower room
• Pack and move personal items for room changes
• Clean and change out beds as needed
• Inspect areas for needed repairs or maintenance and report findings per policy
• Follow proper procedures in the use of chemicals in the workplace and ensure they are secured when not in use
• Collaborate with team members to support residents and promote a positive living environment

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Minimum age of 18
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Housekeeping or eldercare experience preferred
