About the Role
Our Whispering Pines Nursing & Rehab facility is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and homelike environment. Your work will ensure the health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors while helping create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and facility spaces according to established cleaning protocols
- Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and buffing
- Remove trash and soiled linens and restock supplies as needed
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel
- Interact respectfully and compassionately with residents, families, and staff
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Long-term care or hospital experience is preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and respectful attitude toward elderly residents
