Housekeeper Environmental Services Full-Time Swing Shift (Boise, ID)

About the role

At Saint Alphonsus Health System, we are looking for a Full-Time Housekeeper (Environmental Services Technician) to join our team in Boise. This position works on the swing shift: Monday - Friday 5pm-1:30am + every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect various areas within the hospital to maximize infection prevention and enhance patient safety.
• Prepare patient rooms by replenishing supplies, cleaning the floor, making the bed, and more.
• Collect, store, and dispose of numerous medical-related items from patient treatment areas.
• Perform project work such as cleaning carpets and refrigerators.

Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions, communicate by telephone, and initiate communication with peers about task priorities.
• Able to lift up to 50lb and perform job duties involving stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and twisting.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Self-motivated, trainable, and friendly.
• Comfortable working around blood and bodily fluids (with the use of personal protective equipment).

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety standards.
