Housekeeper - Edgemere Estates (23814)

Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout our facility.

About the Role

The Housekeeping Assistant performs scheduled housekeeping tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. Duties include mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing and vacuuming carpets, arranging furniture, and general cleaning of furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily in accordance with facility protocols.
• Uses proper chemicals in correct portions for cleaning tasks.
• Performs dust mopping, wet mopping, or spot-mopping of floors.
• Empties trash containers, replaces liners, and disposes of trash in designated receptacles.
• Vacuums carpets as directed by the Supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows using appropriate chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to the Supervisor or maintenance department.
• Requests necessary supplies and equipment from the Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards; adheres to all safety rules.
• Reviews and complies with Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Ensures patient/resident safety at all times.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience using floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
