Housekeeper DC

About the role

The Housekeeper must have physical stamina and strength to be able to perform the various duties in the Distribution Center. They assume responsibility for all janitorial duties and maintains cleaning supplies inventory. They ensure good housekeeping and follows safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs all janitorial responsibilities: vacuuming, mopping, cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, and offices.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies, towels, soap, trash bags, etc.
• Ensures good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.
• Operates floor scrubber.
• Maintains trash removal from breakrooms, restrooms, and offices.
• Affords assistance and cross-trains in distribution departments upon request.

Experience/Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, cleaning difficult to reach places using a step ladder as needed, reaching with hands and arms, crouch or crawl, with repetitive motions.
• Able to work in elements such as heat and cold.
• Able to stand on hard surfaces for duration of shift.

• Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems.
• Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
