Housekeeper Continuous Care Center

The work environment at our facility includes frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and different types of cleaning chemicals. Physical demands include the ability to perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, reaching, bending, and operating floor equipment like vacuum cleaners and autoscrubbers.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects and ensures all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, reporting problems to the supervisor.
• Cleans all assigned areas, including patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices, and equipment, following established procedures.
• Removes trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenishes paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to ensure adequate supply.
• Makes beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned, following established cleaning procedures.
• Maintains assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Moves equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc., as assigned.
• Fulfills safety and sanitation regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Must have physical ability to perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, reaching, and bending.
• Must meet Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard.
• Capable of wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for an extended period of time.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital.
• Possesses the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests.
• Understands assigned areas, necessary supplies, and equipment.
• Reads and follows written work assignments.
