Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work tasks to maintain the community’s clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Daily dusting and waxing of furniture in each assigned room.
- Daily vacuuming of assigned areas.
- Cleaning of bathrooms in assigned rooms, including sink, tub, and toilet.
- Changing supply of paper goods in each resident’s bathroom and replenishing toilet tissue, facial tissue, and soap when needed.
- Emptying wastebaskets in assigned rooms each day.
- Observing condition of rooms and reporting anything in need of repair to maintenance (light bulbs, etc.).
- Checking for food in rooms not in sealed containers and disposing of if necessary.
- Checking for unsecured throw rugs and extension cords.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of all resident rooms.
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, buffing, general cleaning, window cleaning, floor care, furniture cleaning, and maintaining all public areas.
- Daily cleaning of public bathrooms and emptying of trash receptacles.
- Performing other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination required with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination.
- Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, agitated residents.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
