Housekeeper

About the role

St. Barnabas Nursing Home is seeking experienced Housekeepers to join their dynamic team. This role offers competitive pay and benefits, along with the opportunity to make a positive impact in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, mopping, and disinfecting restrooms daily
• Restocking all paper products and soaps
• Daily cleaning including vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, restrooms, kitchens, and removing all trash to outside containers
• Cleaning all common areas, daily vacuuming of all carpeted areas, removal of stains, carpet cleaning as needed, and mopping all tile/hard surfaces daily
• Maintain and clean equipment daily, reporting any repairs to supervisor
• Attend required in-service education training and staff meetings
• All other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to interact with team members, other staff, and residential clientele
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sit/stand)
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs
• Must be able to navigate and move around the facility to provide cleaning services
