Housekeeper

About the role

As a Housekeeper at Kauai Care Center, you will maintain residents' rooms and common areas, following cleaning schedules and coordinating with nursing services. Your duties include disinfecting equipment and surfaces, dusting and polishing furniture, and supporting the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and home-like environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts to supply storage areas and keep them tidy.
• Disinfect equipment and surfaces using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and empty wastebaskets to meet health standards.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.

Requirements

• Currently read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Have compassion and interest in working with the senior population.

Qualifications

• Must be available for weekend rotation.
