Housekeeper

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in daily cleaning and custodial services.
• Aid the Housekeeping Supervisor in maintaining accurate supply inventory.
• Operate basic janitorial equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Ability to push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate basic janitorial equipment.
• Ability to stand/bend/reach/walk while working for extended periods of time.
• Availability that includes weekends.
• Previous Housekeeping experience is a plus.

Education and Experience

• 3-5 years of housekeeping, janitorial services, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience is a big plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Work Environment

• The Ravinia season runs from early July through mid-September.
• Applicants who are available to work the entire season will receive priority in hiring.
• This position is outdoors and in all weather conditions, with prolonged periods of standing, walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying.
• Typical hours are 7:00 AM—3:30 PM, 48 hours a week, including weekends.
• This position is on-site at Ravinia Highland Park, IL, must be able to reliably commute to Ravinia daily.
