Responsibilities may include Cleaning resident rooms, common areas, offices, hallways, and other assigned areasDusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfacesCleaning and disinfecting bathroomsEmptying trash and properly disposing of wasteFollowing infection-control and safety proceduresRestocking housekeeping supplies as neededReporting maintenance or safety concernsProviding friendly and respectful service to residentsWorking as part of the team to keep our facility looking its best Every job matters at Parker Health & Rehabilitation. Housekeeper Essential Functions Housekeepers will follow established housekeeping guidelines and quality assurance standardsMaintain cleaning schedules for assigned areaCoordinating routine/terminal isolation procedures with Nursing ServicesMaintain knowledge of safety regulations, policies and procedures and following the established safety procedures and precautions Housekeepers will report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to supervisor immediatelyHonoring the residents’ personal and property rightsFiling complaints/grievances with supervisor in a timely fashion Housekeeper Qualifications Housekeeper must have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective housekeeping practices within the State of IndianaHave the ability to be a team player to partner with other departmentsA high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
