Housekeeper

Marklund in Elgin is hiring a Full-Time Housekeeper to make a difference in the lives of individuals with profound disabilities. This role is based at Marklund's Wasmond Center in Elgin, IL.

About the role

Marklund is a nonprofit organization providing residential, educational, and therapy services to individuals with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With locations in Geneva and Elgin, Marklund serves nearly 178 residents and offers programs for children, teens, and adults with multiple medical needs or autism spectrum diagnoses. Our mission is to make everyday life possible for these individuals, and every employee plays a vital role in enhancing their lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Meet functional and environmental requirements of the role.

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.

Pay

$15.25/hour.

Schedule

• Full-time position, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, 5 days a week.
• Rotating weekends with 8-hour shifts.
