Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Cleans and organizes individual guestrooms and units daily, including the lobby and public facilities (such as lobby restrooms, telephone areas, the front desk, and offices) to ensure they are kept in a neat and clean condition
• Implements laundry procedures to operate the laundry department in a cost effective and efficient manner
• Performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and baths and lobby under supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Prepares the room for cleaning, which includes making the bed, cleaning the bathroom, and closet
• Dusts the room and furniture
• Checks room lights, TV, remote, radio alarm and secures room
• Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies
• Vacuums the carpet throughout the hotel including guestrooms
• Vacuums and polishes elevators
• Processes hotel laundry overseeing cleaning of all linens and bathrobes which includes folding and sorting the laundry
• Ensures laundry products leave the facility in a timely manner
• Empties ashtrays, garbage, polishes furniture and fixtures, sweeps and polishes lobby floors, keeping the hotel free from trash
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

• Six months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to clean with speed while maintaining close attention to detail
• Ability to communicate in English with guests
• Flexible schedule, available to work weekends and holidays
• Detail oriented and able to stand for long periods of time
• Works closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Director on inventory of all linens and bathrobes

Pay

Pay range $18.00 - $23.40 per hour. Shift differential: Non‑Exempt employees receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am.

Schedule

Flexible schedule required; availability to work weekends and holidays.
