About the role
The role requires physical demands such as lifting up to 75 lbs. continuously, standing/walking for long periods, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The work environment can be noisy and intense with multiple distractions. Essential duties include maintaining the cleanliness of the casino property, assisting in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards, carrying out spot cleaning, ensuring safety and tidiness, performing specialist cleaning tasks, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, emptying trash bins, stocking restrooms, and cleaning employee lounges. Adherence to state and health department rules and company policies is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of the entire casino property
- Work with housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Clean casino facilities including hallways, employee lounges, casino floor, executive offices, parking lots, and other work areas
- Monitor and maintain cleaning standards of the entire casino property
- Carry out spot cleaning and deal with spillages swiftly and efficiently
- Ensure the casino is safe and tidy at all times
- Perform specialist cleaning tasks on surfaces and furnishings
- Clean glass, brass, wood, and other surfaces throughout the casino
- Clean glass doors at the entrance to the casino
- Vacuum carpeting as needed
- Shampoo carpeting as needed
- Ensure cleanliness in all offices
- Empty all trash bins
- Clean and stock all casino property restrooms
- Clean employee lounges
- Adhere to all State and Health Department rules and regulations
- Adhere to the company Safety and Injury and Illness Prevention policies
- Perform all other work-related duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager
Requirements
- Six months previous experience preferred
- Able to speak and understand English
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to casino appearance standards
Qualifications
- A High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent
