Housekeeper

About the role

At Haven of Bement, we are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at our skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Bement, Illinois. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
• Perform routine housekeeping duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
• Follow infection control and sanitation procedures in a healthcare setting
• Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping equipment and carts
• Replenish linens, towels, toiletries, and other supplies
• Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and distributing items
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment throughout the facility
• Respond promptly and professionally to housekeeping requests

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
• Healthcare or nursing home experience is a plus
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay and Schedule

The pay for this position is $15.00 per hour, and it is a Part-Time role with weekend availability required.
