Housekeeper

Encore Village is hiring for a full-time housekeeper to provide clean, sanitary, comfortable, and satisfying surroundings for residents and guests.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment/tools such as vacuums, mops, dust mops, brooms, sweepers, extractors, and scrubbers.
• Clean carpets, tile, and wood flooring.
• Clean all assigned areas as directed by the department manager, following standard precautions set forth by OSHA and the State Health Department.
• Perform a variety of housekeeping services under the leadership of the Housekeeping Manager and/or Lead, adhering to established policies and procedures to maintain high levels of cleanliness and resident/guest satisfaction.
• Maintain the facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing and cleaning.
• Work in residential and common areas, as well as public restrooms, pool, and other recreational areas.
• Dispose of trash and waste.
• Handle various cleaning chemicals and comply with regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and State Health Department; read and understand MSDS and labels.
• Follow required procedures for handling, cleaning, and disposing of materials or cleaning blood and body fluids in accordance with OSHA bloodborne pathogens standards.
• Maintain daily and project schedules and notify the manager of any changes.
• Assist in maintaining needed levels of supplies and chemicals and notify the manager when restocking is required.
• Communicate effectively with staff and residents.

Requirements

• Experience working in senior living or long-term care preferred.
