About the Community
The Pillars of Prospect Park, opened in 2020, is a senior living community located off the light rail transit station and near the metro bus by the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. The community features 133 independent living, 106 assisted living, and 44 memory care apartments across two buildings, and includes an on-site Intergenerational Child Care Center. Managed by Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living operator, our team is dedicated to helping seniors heal, discover, and educate for longer, healthier, more meaningful lives.
Responsibilities
- Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned.
- Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping hard floor surfaces, dusting and/or damp wiping surfaces, sanitizing bathrooms, and cleaning all glass windows/mirrors.
- Prioritizes tasks and completes them within allotted time.
- Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
- Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding specifications of resident’s individualized housekeeping needs.
- Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment.
- Safely mixes chemicals according to manufacturer instructions.
- Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas (e.g., electric cords, wet floor signs).
- Completes all OSHA training modules in a timely manner.
- Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies, including the housekeeping cart and storage area on a daily basis.
- Safeguards others’ well-being by keeping chemicals and other hazardous materials locked when not in active use.
- Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked and reports need for equipment repairs.
- Adheres to all Lockout/Tagout requirements per policy.
- Assists with light maintenance tasks as needed.
- Participates actively in team meetings, reporting on the current state of the community and providing feedback on housekeeping-related items.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Ability to utilize software programs in order to complete work functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 to 3 years of experience.
- Experience utilizing software programs such as Educare or TELS.

Pay
An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, the organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If eligible, a sign-on bonus may be offered based on the approved program at the time of the offer.
