Housekeeper

About the Role

Amira Choice of Forest Lake is a beautiful, well-designed senior living community offering Independent/Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Care Suites. Located north of the Twin Cities metro area in Forest Lake, MN, our community is adjacent to Minneapolis and St. Paul and near public transportation, providing a convenient location for employees. This Housekeeper position includes a weekday schedule of Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per two weeks with no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned.
• Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping hard floor surfaces, dusting and/or damp wiping surfaces, sanitizing bathrooms, and cleaning all glass windows/mirrors.
• Prioritizes tasks and completes them within allotted time.
• Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
• Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding specifications of resident’s individualized housekeeping needs.
• Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment.
• Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions provided by the manufacturer.
• Consistently follows safe body mechanics.
• Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floor signs, etc.
• Completes all OSHA training modules in a timely manner.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on a daily basis.
• Safeguards others’ well-being by keeping chemicals and other hazardous materials locked when not in active use.
• Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked.
• Communicates need for equipment repairs.
• Adheres to all Lockout/Tagout requirements per policy.
• Assists with light maintenance tasks as needed.
• Participates actively in team meetings, reports on current state in the Community, and provides feedback on housekeeping-related items as they arise.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Ability to utilize software programs in order to complete work functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 to 3 years of experience.
• Experience utilizing software programs such as Educare or TELS in order to complete necessary job functions.

Pay

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, the organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If the role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program approved and in place at the time of offer will be honored.
