Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive customer‑service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co‑workers.
• Adapt to customer needs.
• Keep all assigned ancillary and department areas and corridors clean, neat, and sanitary to protect safety and health, following preventative‑maintenance procedures outlined in department policy.
• Inspect and use judgment to determine which cleaning techniques from orientation guidelines to follow.
• Demonstrate efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions as observed by a supervisor.
• Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies using germicides and sterilizing equipment, as needed.
• Employ universal precautions when disposing of trash and bio‑hazardous materials.
• Keep the housekeeping cart properly stocked with equipment and cleaning supplies; ensure all chemicals are accurately labeled and all equipment is in good working condition.
• Promote effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships and maintain professional conduct at all times.
• Assist in improving productivity and efficient operations of the department.
• Commit to professional growth and competence by adhering to component and departmental training commitments.
• Accept that job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.

Qualifications

• Past cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and Aramark support staff.
• Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.
• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing.
• May be required to wear uniforms and/or use personal protective equipment (PPE).
