About the role
The Housekeeper is responsible for the general cleanliness of procedure areas, patient care areas, rest rooms, offices, and all other areas requiring Environmental Services support. Routine duties include:
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping surfaces
- Cleaning floors, walls, ceilings, sinks, mirrors, showers, commodes, windows, and other glass areas
- Maintaining waiting areas and public hallways
- Removing linen and trash
- Performing terminal cleaning of isolation rooms or exam rooms as required
- Moving furniture and other heavy equipment as directed
Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 6 months housekeeping experience preferred
- Prior experience working in a healthcare facility preferred
- Working knowledge of operation and control of electrical equipment and safety
- Ability to get along with others, accept instructions, and comprehend new work methods
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively, following verbal and written instructions
- Fluency in spoken and written English with proficient writing skills
- Bilingual ability (English and Spanish) preferred
- Ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position

Pay
$25.00 hourly. Individual wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
