Housekeeper

Job Summary

As our Housekeeper, you will perform essential housekeeping duties to maintain an assigned area in a sanitary and orderly condition. This vital role contributes to the overall cleanliness and patient safety within our hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, walls, ceiling, windows, furniture, and equipment according to established procedures, ensuring that assigned areas are clean, attractive, and safe for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Clean occupied or discharged patient rooms thoroughly.
• Collect regular and medical waste using established safety practices, ensuring protection of self.
• Collect soiled linen throughout the facility using appropriate body mechanics and safe handling equipment.
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of Medical Waste handling and proper needle handling and disposal.
• Demonstrate understanding and competency regarding established isolation cleaning procedures and methods.

Job Requirements

• Preferred: One year of housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hospital, medical facility or a convalescent facility.
• Driver's License: CA, upon hire.
