Housekeeper
Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island provides individualized treatment for children, adolescents and young adults with emotional, behavioral and cognitive differences. We serve individuals throughout the New England area and beyond, and work collaboratively with state agencies and social service providers to ensure an integrated network of care. Our service offerings include residential treatment; campus- and community-based group homes; adult group homes and placement services; a special education day school; autism services; short-term placement; diagnostic services; in-home services; vocational training; and therapeutic foster care.

Our programs and services make a difference in the lives of individuals and their families, offering hope, healing, and comprehensive behavioral health support. This position is located in Rutland, MA and offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Use and understand various chemicals and their application to sanitation.
- Keep supplies neat, orderly, and securely away from individuals.
- Read and follow written and verbal task assignments for each assigned area.
- Monitor condition of assigned areas and report any concerns or damage to supervisor.
- Collect and wash soiled linens from assigned buildings.
- Complete daily cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to disinfecting bathrooms and food/dining areas.
- Complete scheduled cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to shampooing carpets, cleaning air vents, buffing tile.
- Complete as-needed cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to replenishing toiletries, vacuuming common areas, cleaning messes.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability to work on feet 95% of the day and perform repetitive motion.
- Previous experience in housekeeping/maintenance preferred.
- Able to complete 3 days of orientation training, Monday-Wednesday, 8am-4pm.

Pay
The pay for this position starts at $19/hour, with additional compensation added for years of relevant experience up to $21.66/hour.
Schedule
Monday-Friday 5:30am-1:30pm with some flexibility.
