About the role
Damar is currently seeking a Housekeeper to provide consistent application of the highest health standards, ensuring that all residents reside in a safe, clean, and healthy environment. The role involves maintaining the building and equipment in compliance with the State Board of Health’s rules and regulations to ensure the health and safety of residents and employees.
Schedule
1st shift, Monday through Friday (no weekends).
Responsibilities
- Perform all daily, weekly, and monthly duties as per the Housekeeping Cleaning standard operating procedures.
- Perform weekend duties as assigned, such as laundry, cleaning, and stocking.
- Ensure all buildings are maintained to provide the cleanest environment possible for residents.
- Take pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in housekeeping in a business or office setting, with a minimum of two years’ experience in housekeeping at the same facility preferred.
- Ability to follow and execute specific oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to routinely lift 10 to 60 pounds from floor level to overhead in height.
- Ability to maneuver 20 to 100 pounds vertically.
- Ability to perform daily tasks by bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pulling, and pushing with wrist, arm, shoulder, and back movements.
- Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
- No felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening.
Pay
Starting pay: $15.25 an hour.
