Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and attractive manner per established procedures and as directed by the supervisor
• Ensure the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is always maintained
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
• Provide cleaning services inside residents' apartments and common areas
• Follow a cleaning schedule and instructions
• Adhere to procedures regarding infection control, food-borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety, and sanitation
• Submit maintenance work orders to the Maintenance Director
• Report any unsafe/hazardous conditions within the community

Requirements

• Kindness and a desire to work with the elderly
• Enjoy working with people in general
• Work well with people in emotional or stressful situations
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment
• Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English
• Meet health requirements, including TB
• Pass a criminal background check
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
