Housekeeper

SEIU Pay Range: $21.01 to $31.16 dependent on experience.

About the role

A CMH Housekeeper will provide a clean, safe, and friendly environment for patients, visitors, and associates by performing housekeeping services. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, waiting areas, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, and other assigned spaces in accordance with the Environmental Services Department’s standard procedures to maintain high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas following departmental procedures.
• Adhere to isolation policies and infection-control signage.
• Follow verbal and/or written instructions for cleaning tasks.
• Use housekeeping equipment and cleaning agents safely and effectively.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to read and comprehend cleaning product labels and safety instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in environmental services or housekeeping preferred.
• Familiarity with housekeeping equipment and cleaning techniques.

Physical Demands

• Lifts and carries up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Works in precarious or slippery locations, including heights on ladders and scaffolding.
• Exposure to housekeeping/cleaning agents and chemicals.
