Housekeeper
About the role
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the facility by cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing. They also remove miscellaneous debris, refresh bath areas, clean floors, dust and polish furniture, clean and polish glass surfaces, restock housekeeping supplies, order new supplies as needed, ensure equipment operates correctly, follow operating instructions, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, perform preventive maintenance, call for repairs, maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment, participate in educational opportunities, and accept ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
Responsibilities
- Maintain facility by cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Remove miscellaneous debris by removing trash.
- Refresh bath area by cleaning toilet, and sinks; refilling hand towel and toilet paper dispensers.
- Clean floors by washing and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain furnishings by dusting and polishing furniture; cleaning and polishing glass surfaces.
- Keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping supplies; ordering new supplies as needed.
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with security regulations.
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent, and one year of related experience are required.
