Housekeeper

About the role

Full-time Housekeeper position available at Patriots Landing Assisted Living.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned resident apartments, common areas, and offices in accordance with community policy.
• Report any items in need of repair to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Collect, wash, fold, and return resident linen and personal laundry weekly; ensure all personal items are labeled.
• Provide additional cleaning/sanitizing of incontinent resident suites as directed.
• Clean carpets by method of extraction and/or shampooing as directed.
• Assist with resident move-ins by helping to arrange personal belongings.
• Report any observed area in poor repair to the supervisor.
• Clean vacant apartments as directed.
• Report any unusual incidents to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Executive Director, or Manager on Duty.
• Clean exterior furniture.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Maintain all equipment in a clean and safe manner.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Executive Director, or Manager on Duty.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalency.
• Six (6) months of experience in housekeeping is preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong oral, written, and telephone skills.
• Dependability.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Certified in First Aid/CPR.
• Good health and physical/mental capability to perform assigned tasks.
• Knowledge of safe sanitation practices and safety practices.
• Capable of meeting all requirements that may be specified by the state or other regulatory agencies.
