Department Description

The Environmental Services department at Cambridge Health Alliance is dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and sanitized environment for all patients, staff, and visitors. Our team plays a critical role in infection prevention and control by meticulously maintaining all hospital spaces, from patient rooms to operating theaters and common areas. Through our commitment to cleanliness and rigorous sanitation standards, we help ensure the highest quality of care and promote the well-being of our entire hospital community.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms using the 7 steps of cleaning method
• Perform hard floor care and utilize approved floor care procedures
• Use proper technique for terminal cleaning in the Operating Room
• Perform carpet and upholstery care, utilizing approved carpet and upholstery care standard procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months experience is required; 1 year preferred
• Must be able to read and write English and follow simple instructions
• Newly hired candidates are required to successfully complete a job-specific agility test

Pay

Pay range varies based on candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Evening shift: 2PM - 10:30PM, Monday - Sunday
• Weekend requirements: Yes
