About the role
The Housekeeper is responsible for apartment turnover cleaning, community grounds and common-area maintenance, custodial duties, and any projects assigned by the supervisor. The role requires initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Clean furnished apartments for new residents: scrub bathrooms (toilet, sink, shower, bathtub, vinyl floor), clean kitchen (sink, countertops, cabinets, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher—load/unload dishes), empty trash, vacuum carpets and furniture, dust furniture, wash linens and towels, make beds, replace light bulbs, dust ceiling fan blades, clean windows/sills, clean blinds, mirrors, wipe closet shelves, test TV and lights.
- Clean unfurnished apartments: deep-clean bathroom and kitchen (appliances, countertops, cabinets, floors, bathtub, toilet, sinks, mirrors), vacuum carpets and vinyl, dust closet shelves, clean windows and blinds.
- Vacuum interior building hallways daily.
- Clean rental office daily: dust furniture, vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture, wipe kitchen area, sweep copier/storage area, empty trash, clean glass on doors and windows.
- Clean community common areas:
- Pool area: wipe tables/chairs, straighten lounge chairs, sweep pool deck.
- Clubhouse: wipe tables, dust furniture, vacuum daily (including upholstered furniture), dust TV/electronics, empty trash, clean kitchen (refrigerator, oven, dishes, windows).
- Restrooms: mop daily, scrub toilets, refill supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels), check twice daily.
- Fitness center: vacuum daily, wipe down equipment with cleaner.
- Business center: vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture, dust computer screens/keyboards, restock printer paper.
- Laundry rooms: sweep behind equipment, wipe washers/dryers, empty lint traps/trash, mop floors, clean windows/doors.
- Complete special projects as directed by supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Cooperative attitude with supervisor and coworkers.
- Customer-service focus toward residents.
- Time management and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, carrying, pulling, and pushing.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
