Housekeeper

About the role

Burcham Hills is an upscale senior living retirement community located in East Lansing, MI, near Michigan State University. We are seeking a Full-Time Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and presentation in assigned areas of the community.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize floors (sweep, mop, vacuum) as needed.
• Dispose of trash from rooms, suites, offices, soiled utility rooms, and other areas.
• Perform detailed dusting of rooms, suites, offices, common areas, and other spaces.
• Clean windows and window ledges in resident and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms in rooms, suites, offices, and common areas daily.
• Work independently and as part of a highly productive team.
• Develop relationships with residents and rehab clients, focusing on person-centered care.
• Consistently follow a chemical program for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces.

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience is desirable but not required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work extended or flexible hours as necessary.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English.
