Housekeeper

About the Role

Join a team that has been caring for seniors with heart since 1962. We’re looking for a dependable Housekeeping Assistant to help keep our home clean, safe, and welcoming for our seniors.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, entrances, and hallways.
• Sweep, mop, disinfect, dust, and polish surfaces.
• Empty trash, replace liners, and transport soiled linens.
• Perform deep/terminal cleaning after resident discharges.
• Maintain equipment and use proper safety and infection control procedures.
• Report repair needs or supply shortages.
• Support a positive, respectful environment for residents, families, and coworkers.
• Help train or mentor new housekeeping assistants (if experienced).
• Additional job duties as required.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must meet facility immunization requirements (e.g., flu shot, COVID-19 if applicable).
• Must follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Willingness to take part in scheduled weekend/holiday rotations.
