Housekeeper

Highlights

• The Housekeeper shall be responsible for cleaning areas within the both the Baptist Health hospital departments and non-hospital departments.
• This individual shall complete all tasks assigned efficiently, effectively, and on a daily basis.
• This position may have additional duties assigned as needed that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience

• A High School diploma or equivalent, or Alabama Essentials Pathway diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year work experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Position requires sitting for 1% of the workday and mobility 99% of the workday.
• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
• Frequent lifting of 10-50 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Must have a visual acuity at close and distant ranges.
• Must be able to demonstrate manual dexterity in performance of duties.
• Must be able to interact with all levels of peers, customers and management.
• Must be able to work safely around chemicals, dust and be flexible with begin and end shift time.
