Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing cleaning duties assigned to apartments, interior and exterior common areas, and amenities
• Clean public areas and resident’s apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas
• Perform housekeeping duties:
  • Distribute laundered articles and linens
  • Change beds
  • Clean public restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors; clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • Dust furniture and equipment
  • Polish metalwork
  • Wash walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
• Perform laundry duties:
  • Wash and dry resident laundry and textiles in provided appliances
  • Fold and/or hang laundry appropriately
  • Distribute laundered articles and linens
  • Change bed linens
  • Maintain resident laundry areas, including mopping floors, washing walls, and checking lint traps regularly
• Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested
• Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies
• Stock the cleaning cart with supplies
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area(s)
• Work with maintenance to ensure that the trash and dumpster areas are clean
• Request maintenance work orders for any maintenance repairs needed
• Report resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly
• Report potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to Supervisor
• Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned

Requirements

• Successfully complete all Company specified training programs
• Able to operate cleaning equipment such as iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
• General knowledge of sanitation
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Basic computer skills
