Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents’ rooms are neat, clean and free from odor.
• Wet mop floors daily.
• Shampoo and extract carpets as per schedule.
• Attend to spills immediately.
• Empty trash liners and clean containers.
• Clean bed and rails with disinfectant.
• Clean all countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture and over the bed.
• Strip, seal and refinish floors as per schedule.
• Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build‑up.
• Clean windows and mirrors.
• Clean personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, etc.
• Demonstrate correct safety techniques.

Requirements

• No experience necessary; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Preferred: a minimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping in a nursing home or other related medical facility (not required).

Pay

Weekly pay at $16 per hour.

Schedule

Part‑time, three days per week, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. shift. Week 1: Monday, Friday, and Saturday. Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday.

All staff must be up to date with COVID‑19 and flu vaccinations, or acknowledge a declination of the vaccination(s). The facility follows federal and state guidelines regarding staff vaccinations.
