Housekeeper

Cleanliness and Maintenance

• Cleans lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, ramps, Prom areas, and patron parking lot.
• Machine sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washes window glass, door panels, and sills.
• Cleans wall and ceiling fixtures.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes restroom supplies.
• Responds to calls for Housekeeping problems (i.e., broken glass, spills, backups, etc.).

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Must be able to work as a team with other employees.
• Able to use and control various mechanical equipment.
• Able to work around dust.
• Able to maneuver in small, limited spaces.
• Able to transport all supplies to and from work areas.
• Able to work on stairs and reach above shoulder level.
• Able to work in areas containing second-hand smoke.
• Able to operate equipment, including: vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop, and broom.
• Able to work with cleaning chemicals and be able to handle chemical fumes and airborne particles (on occasion).
• Able to walk, stand, and work on hands and knees for long periods of time.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
