Housekeeper

The Housekeeper will maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly work environment. He or she may be required to perform tasks which involve exposure to blood and/or other bodily fluids and must follow the required handling procedures in accordance with the OSHA Blood-Borne Pathogen Standard. Work Schedule: 6:30am - 2pm, Monday - Friday; will rotate one Saturday or Sunday, once per month Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean offices, hallways, lobbies, break areas, restrooms, and laboratory areas Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment including but not limited to: vacuums, polishers, and buffersClean rugs, carpets, furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleanerDust furniture, light fixtures, and window sills, among other items as neededMaintain a sanitary facility through washing, cleaning and replacement of equipment as necessaryDispose of trash, waste, and other disposable materials as neededHandle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, etc.Report any needed repairs immediately to the Facilities Manager Use safety precautions in all housekeeping servicesParticipate in process improvements, including process definition, measurement analysis, and implementation of controlsParticipate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill Follow all safety guidelines and report any safety concerns to supervisorOther duties as required and assigned A Successful Candidate Must Possess High school diploma or GED requiredPrevious housekeeping experience preferred Minimum Physical Requirement The Following Demands Are Representative Of Those That Must Be Met By a Team Member To Successfully Perform The Essential Functions Of This Job Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Aegis Sciences Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer
