Housekeeper-Assisted Living Facility & Memory Care

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas according to facility schedules.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and replace liners in resident rooms and common areas.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness of public restrooms and employee areas.
• Follow infection control and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Collect, wash, dry, fold or hang, and distribute resident and facility laundry as assigned.
• Ensure resident clothing and linens are handled with care and returned promptly.
• Report damaged linens or clothing to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas.
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, and compassion.
• Respond courteously to resident requests and report concerns to nursing or management staff.
• Respect resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors.
• Follow all facility policies, OSHA guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or unusual observations immediately.
• Participate in required training and staff meetings.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Work cooperatively with all departments to ensure a positive resident experience.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while on duty.

Requirements

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in housekeeping or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay

• $15.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Full-time and rotating weekends.
• Hours: 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
