Housekeeper ($17 hourly)

Essential Functions

• Provide routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting of all interior and exterior building surfaces and furnishings.
• Regular cleaning and sanitation of areas including restrooms, shower rooms, locker rooms, fitness areas and kitchen.
• Provide furniture and equipment set-ups and take-downs in support of various programs and building uses.
• Regular removal of trash, litter and recyclables.
• Provide high level cleaning of public areas such as lobbies and entry areas.
• Regular cleaning and sweeping of exterior areas including sidewalks, paved areas, and landscaping.
• Maintain appropriate inventories of cleaning products, supplies and products such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soaps throughout the facility.
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of the facilities and grounds components including doors, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings and furnishings.
• Maintain records of cleaning, service and repair of building systems.
• Follow and ensure adherence to The Salvation Army Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain the Code of Ethics policy, which has been established for the Kroc Center Hawaii.
• Attend staff meetings and other administrative meetings.
• Maintain regular and punctual work attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in current janitorial methods and procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of health and sanitation requirements of a public facility, preferably utilizing “green/sustainable” cleaning products and methods.

Description Of Work Environment

• Most work will be indoors at the new Kroc Center Hawaii facility.
• Attendance at trainings and conferences in Hawaii may be required.
