Housekeeper (1697 - Virginia Beach, Virginia)

About the role

Housekeeper responsible for keeping the community clean and neat, including offices, models, clubhouse, lobbies, laundry room, common areas, and grounds. Works under the supervision of the Property Manager and Service Manager.

Responsibilities

• Obtains list of vacant units that need to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective checkouts to prepare work assignments.
• Prepares vacant units for occupancy.
• Maintains the daily upkeep of the clubhouse and common areas of property buildings.
• Manages care, maintenance, and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or management company.
• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, solid surfaces, trim, restrooms, lobbies, elevators, and stairways.
• Reports unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Provides courteous and efficient response at all times.
• Operates within OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of management company policies and property community policies.
• Reports any defects or deficiencies to the Property Manager for necessary repairs.
• Performs other safe duties or job functions as required or deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

Requirements

• Stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Reach with hands and arms; able to talk and/or hear.
• Frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Working knowledge of building maintenance and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work.

Equipment Used

• Mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaning equipment, buffer, and stepladder.

Physical Requirements

• On feet 66% to 100% of the time.
• Constant need (66% to 100% of time) to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
