House Supervisor RN- Per Diem Night

About the role

The Nursing Supervisor position provides for supervisory coverage of the Nursing Department, other patient care areas and the hospital in general during the night shift. The position exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving nursing problems within established policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial direction in the absence of the department managers and the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Exercise professional judgment in applying knowledge to solve nursing problems within established policies and practices.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care outcomes.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
• Oversee staffing and resource allocation to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and risk management activities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for nursing staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing department during the night shift.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Certified California Registered Nurse License.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course (Vendor Managed).
• 5 years acute hospital clinical experience.
• 3 years supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $82.99 - $131.03 per hour.

Schedule

This position is Per Diem and will work 12-hour Night shifts.
