House Supervisor night shift

Job Summary

Mission Community Hospital is seeking an experienced and dedicated Per Diem House Supervisor for the Night Shift to join our nursing leadership team. As a 145-bed hospital, Mission Community Hospital is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to the diverse community we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-wide supervision and leadership during assigned night shifts.
• Cookstaffing based on census, patient acuity, and hospital needs.
• Support patient flow, admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed placement.
• Respond to clinical emergencies, Rapid Responses, and Code Blue events.
• Serve as a leadership resource for nursing staff, charge nurses, physicians, and other departments.
• Address patient, family, staff, and operational concerns as needed.
• Escalate significant clinical or operational issues to appropriate leadership.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Complete required shift reports and documentation.
• Promote a collaborative, professional, and patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Previous Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
