Position Overview
The Asheville Symphony is seeking friendly, reliable, and confident House Managers to join our Front-of-House team for the 2026–27 season. House Managers are the primary front-of-house leaders during Asheville Symphony performances, managing Event Staff and Volunteers to create a safe, welcoming, accessible, and organized experience for every patron. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced event environment, and can remain calm and solutions-oriented when the unexpected happens. House Managers work closely with Asheville Symphony staff, venue personnel, event staff, and volunteer ushers to coordinate concert operations and provide an exceptional patron experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead Front-of-House operations during performances
- Manage and coordinate Event Staff and Volunteers
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, accessible, and organized patron experience
- Collaborate with Symphony staff, venue personnel, and ushers to coordinate concert operations

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Schedule
Part-time, event-based position. House Managers are generally expected to work at least seven performances per season.
Pay
Hourly wage – $25
