House Attendant (Personal de limpieza)

About the role

Clean and maintain the hotel’s public areas according to the brand/hotel’s guest-service and sustainability standards. Growth opportunities include advancement to Cleaning Supervisor, Guest Service Agent, Housekeeping Manager, or Front Desk Manager.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Inspect assigned areas and perform cleaning tasks as required.
• Collect trash from service areas and dispose of it in outdoor trash containers.
• Vacuum and dust guest hallways.
• Collect bed linens and sheets from hotel floors and transport them to the laundry collection area.
• Deliver clean linens to assigned sections.
• Report maintenance issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest areas.
• Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance.
• Assist with room service during staff shortages or peak periods.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work to improve overall and departmental guest satisfaction.
• Practice safe work habits, use protective equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience required; equivalent training preferred.

Work Environment

The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and rotating shifts. The role requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 pounds, reaching, bending, and kneeling to access all areas. Use of cleaning chemicals is required.
