House Attendant

About the role

The Housekeeping House Attendant plays a crucial part in creating a welcoming environment for guests and colleagues alike at Raffles Boston. This position involves a variety of tasks such as distributing linens, collecting dirty items, stocking amenities, and ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet high standards.

Responsibilities

• Distribute sheets, collect dirty linen and towels, and ensure floors are stocked with amenities and cleaning supplies.
• Run items to butlers as needed.
• Inform management of any guest issues promptly to ensure a quick resolution.
• Complete daily checklists and report any issues with rooms or public areas to management.
• Clean guest rooms and public areas to Hotel standards, maintaining guest privacy and security.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and communicate effectively using communication devices and radios.
• Handle special requests as needed, including VIPs and special needs rooms.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and review Housekeeping daily information sheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous Housekeeping House Attendant experience is an asset.
• Must have medium work physical requirements, including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and climbing stairs.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of employees and guests.
• Able to maintain a warm, positive, and friendly demeanor.
• Maintain a great work ethic and comply with hotel standards.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow departmental procedures.
• Must be able to deliver guest laundry to rooms or butlers.

Physical Requirements

• Regular activities: Standing, walking, stair climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, crawling, reaching.

• Hourly Wage: Intro rate at $23.07, increasing to $24.71 after 6 months and $32.95 after 12 months.
