About the role

This position is located at the Lima Engine Plant (LEP) and involves performing skilled maintenance and repair tasks on engines and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

- Operate, monitor, PM, and repair air compressors, combustion equipment, refrigeration equipment, and various types of combustion equipment. - Troubleshoot combustion firing controls, refrigeration equipment, and related safety devices. - Possess CFC certification and hold a boiler operating license from your state/municipality. - Perform tasks such as standing for extended periods, walking unassisted, working at heights, working overhead, manipulating tools typical of the trade, reaching, lifting, twisting, bending, and using PMHV or Hilo. - Perceive differences in details and prints related to the trade. - Maintain good attendance and adhere to safety rules and procedures. - Work on any assigned schedule, change shifts, work more than 8 hours per day, and/or work overtime. - Learn and follow safety rules and procedures, work in a team environment, treat co-workers with dignity and respect, and accept and follow instructions and requests from leadership.

Requirements

- Completion of a bona fide apprenticeship, or 8 years of previous experience, or a combination of previous work experience and training equivalent to a bona fide apprenticeship program in the trade. - Strong electrical background for troubleshooting combustion firing controls, refrigeration equipment, and related safety devices. - Successful completion of a job interview, pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check are required.

Qualifications

- Must be able to effectively maneuver about vehicles, equipment, assembly lines or stations, and about the facility.

Skills

- Proficiency in operating, monitoring, PM, and repairing various types of equipment. - Strong troubleshooting skills for combustion firing controls, refrigeration equipment, and related safety devices. - Electrical knowledge for troubleshooting combustion firing controls, refrigeration equipment, and related safety devices. - CFC certification and boiler operating license.
