Hourly Adult Ed Veterinary Assisting Instructor

Burlington County Institute of Technology Adult Education is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as an hourly Veterinary Assisting Instructor. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of veterinary terminology and clinical techniques, a passion for animal care, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The instructor must effectively guide adult learners through foundational and practical veterinary assisting skills while promoting animal health, safety, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Instruct adult learners in foundational and practical veterinary assisting skills.
• Promote animal health, safety, and industry standards.
• Share practical industry knowledge and expertise in veterinary terminology, patient care, and clinical techniques.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the veterinary field.
• Must meet NJ State requirements for Veterinary Assisting Instruction.
• Demonstrated expertise in veterinary terminology, patient care, and clinical techniques.
• Strong love of animals and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to work effectively with adult learners.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must pass a criminal history background check.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required.
• Must establish NJ residency within one year of hire.
• Drug testing required.

Pay

Hourly Rate: $40.30
